SET Plan IWG-Industry 2025 Annual Event: Towards highly efficient and sustainable energy use in European industries

The Implementation Working Group on Sustainable and Efficient Energy Use in Industry (IWG-Industry) will hold its 2025 Annual Event
The annual event, "Towards highly efficient and sustainable energy use in European industries – Best practices from SET Plan IWG Industry’s stakeholders at national and European level", will present and discuss best practices from SET Plan IWG-Industry’s stakeholders at national and European levels and feature valuable insights from Polish representatives at national and regional level.
This satellite event of the EUIndTech 2025 will entail two panel sessions, the first focusing on Electrification and flexibility in industrial process, the second on Circularity and Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS). It will bring together several projects focusing on industrial energy systems and funded by of the Clean Energy Transition (CETP), and Process for Planet (P4Planet) Partnerships and Horizon Europe Cluster 4.
The projects cover topics such as thermal storage, high-temperature steam, carbon capture, energy integration, waste heat recovery, and industrial heat pumps for enhanced flexibility, efficiency, and sustainability in energy intensive industries.
EMPHATICaL will be presented during this satellite event showcasing the project's concept and vision, the consortium’s roles, objectives, the utilisation of Calcium Looping (CaL) and Closed Loop Heat Pump Assisted Distillation (cl-HPAD), and the commercial implementation plan.
This event is organised by the SET-IndEU Secretariat as part of EUIndTech 2025,the EU flagship conference on industrial technologies and materials for sustainable Europe.
